Ellen Denuto

Ellen Denuto, founding member of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers is a regular juror, guest speaker and workshop leader for ASMP, Professional Photographers of America, Professional Woman Photographers, SOHO Photo, and various Colleges and Universities. After earning degrees in Art and Education, Denuto worked with the Agfa, Minolta and Ilford Corporations as a guest speaker and contributing photographer for their product publications and trade shows. The Image Bank founder Larry Freed, selected her personal images for his International Collection, which led to worldwide exposure including FOTO, Darkroom Photography, GRAPHIS, Minolta Mirror and Japanese Playboy magazines.

Ellen Denuto’s unique imagery begins with the beauty of available light; Shooting on location is her specialty, using the element of the unknown to guide her creative process. She states, “Ever present, the photographer is witness to the world’s beauty- pain, injustice and triumph creating a visual journal of our time.”

A selection of her commercial clients include Starbucks, Target Stores, Penguin Books, and Apple Computers. Her work can be found in the permanent collections of the New Jersey State Museum, Trenton, NJ; The Kodak Galleries, Rochester, NY; Paterson Museum, Paterson, NJ; among others.
