18 Artists
The Carter Burden Gallery, formerly gallery 307, is pleased to announce the opening of its latest group show, 18 Artists. The show features paintings, assemblage pieces, photographs and sculpture featuring the gallery’s core roster of artists that have shown at the gallery since its inception in 2009.
18 Artists brings together a diverse group of artists working in a variety of mediums and styles, yet each uniquely relevant and current to contemporary artistic discourse. Artists include: Jonathan Bauch, David Cerulli, Eva Costabel, Flo Fox, Robert Ludwig, Carol Massa, Margo Mead, Hedy O'Beil, Sara Petitt, Robert Petrick, Emily Rich, Sal Romano, Sheila Schwid, Vera Sapozhnikova, Marilyn Sontag, Anna Walter, Arnold Wechsler, and Leslie Shaw Zadoian. Viewers will move through the colorful strata of Hedy O’Beil’s gestural abstraction to the organic architecture of David Cerulli’s large scale painting. Jonathan Bauch’s steel sculpture defies its substance in its delicacy while Leslie Shaw Zadoian’s assemblage piece reflects the weight and wisdom of her found objects.
